Hello NLA-International Members,
Times have surely changed, since the last time I wrote to you. All Leather, and kink events alike, are at a stasis, with a slow re-opening, it seems. Regardless of this, many events have canceled or postponed, since science has not, yet, come up with a vaccine to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Living in Leather (LIL) Committee has decided to pull LIL 2020 from Leather History Preservation Weekend (LHPW), this year. We shall have our LIL 2020 virtually through Zoom at our third quarter meeting, on Saturday 08August2020 at 5pm USA EST. This will allow for all to attend, and still keep safe.
A Zoom invitation will be sent out for LIL 2020 to all members. This event is open to all. We shall hear from writers, artists, leaders, LA&M, demos, and our Life Time Achievement Award Winner 2020, Dr. Jack Fritscher! He will have a keynote speech for us. The main goal of LIL is to honor and recognize people in our community that have gone above and beyond.
At our previous quarter meeting, it seems that our chapters have held off all events. Although, members are finding out ways to have meetings, virtually. I’m glad to know that you all are practicing safe distancing!
