What is NLA?
- Currently, the NLA is a 501c7 fraternal organization of members stretching worldwide. The organization is made up of commercial members, affiliate members, and individuals.

Individuals
- Connection to a larger audience.
- Opportunity to volunteer on projects that affect the culture of our community
- Access to the members-only First Link Newsletter.
- Discounts provided to you from our Affiliate and Commercial members
- One membership vote in all elections and bylaw changes.
- NLA provides the assistance and oversight needed for persons to incorporate their own small club, organization, or event.
- NLA provides several different pre-made and tested bylaws, policies, and structural documents to any member who wants to start their own club, organization, or event.
- Most importantly, your part of an organization that is making awarding the activists, authors, and artists that make our culture what it is!
Commercial
- Ability to solicit and market your products to our entire membership
- Advertisement space within both our Link Magazines
- Product placement opportunities at our Living In Leather Awards ceremonies
- The owner has one membership vote in all elections and bylaw changes.
- Most importantly, your part of an organization that is making awarding the activists, authors, and artists that make our culture what it is!
Affiliate
- Ability to solicit and market your organization or club to our entire membership
- Advertising space within both our Link Magazines
- President or selected Chair has one membership vote in all elections and bylaw changes.
- Product placement opportunities at our Living In Leather Awards ceremonies
- Most importantly, your part of an organization that is making awarding the activists, authors, and artists that make our culture what it is!
Who can join?
- Any person, 18 and older, can join the NLA as an individual member.
- Any organization or club can join the NLA as an Affiliate member.
- Any Business or for-profit can join the NLA as a commercial member.
- Any old NLA Chapter Member, currently in good standing, can join the NLA as an individual member.
- Any existing member can also change and move from one member type to another at any time as long they contact the Treasurer to clarify their membership changes and pay the differences.
What does it cost?
- Individual Memberships are $25
- Affiliate Memberships are $90. If this club or organization offers our members a discount, their dues are $75.
- Commercial Memberships are $90. If this company or for-profit organization offers discounts to members, their dues are $75.
